You will find the information for the Amazon Gift Wrapping Fundraiser this holiday season. Most of the information you will need is in the email below. There are however a few more important details I need to include.

 First, PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION THOROUGHLY BELOW. We have  been INVITED to participate in the fundraiser and we are considered  volunteers, however it is imperative that you utilize the same work ethic you  would if this were your job. Last year there were some individuals that  either didn't show up to their scheduled shift, or just showed up for a  shift that they were not scheduled for. This creates a lot of confusion  and could jeopardize our future with this fundraiser.

Second, the contact person for this fundraiser is Colleen. Her e-mail  is Colleen.Wood@aps.com She will be the  person you communicate your shift requests with. She is organizing this as a volunteer and please  be respectful that she works full-time during the day. This means that she> may or may not be able to reply to your e-mail right away. She  has requested that she be given about a 5 day window for scheduling  shifts. That just means you cant request a shift the day before.

Third, the group organizing this fundraiser is required to carry insurance for all participants. In the past, they have just carried  the cost. They cannot do that anymore. In order to cover our  insurance costs, they will be deducting 10% of what you earn to cover those  costs. For example, if you earn $500 during this event, they will deduct  $50 therefore leaving you $450.

Lastly, you may begin e-mailing Colleen.Wood@aps.com immediately to  request your shifts for gift wrapping. Keep in mind that this is a  great fundraiser however it's also a very busy time of year for most of  us. There have been people that sign up for 10 shifts only to find out  that their lives get busy or that they find it physically exhausting to  stand up for long periods of time wrapping and just cant keep all the  shifts they signed up for. I always caution those that are new to this, to  only sign up for a couple shifts at first. After the first shift, you  will know whether you would like to sign up for more. Also, you can call  me (Shannon Marr) before you commit to this fundraiser and I can explain  in more detail what to expect or answer any question.
